You are a former slave. You know what hard labour is or what it means to have your life in the hands of more powerful people. You have been trained in a particular field, should it be combat (gladiator), history, poetry, music, agriculture, cooking, etc. You have been liberated by your owner or you earned the money to buy your freedom. Either way, you are now able to chose your own desitiny.

Features

Hard worker: You have worked your whole life in order to survive until you earned your freedom. People can be very pleased with your work, whenever you go they will accept your help in exchange of shelter or food, as long as it is done in the same day; it can be helping in the kitchen, fixing furniture or feeding the animals. If you work in a place that has slaves or servants, it is easy for you to relate to them and maybe hear interesting rumours about the area.

Suggested Characteristics

Slaves had different experiences depending on the owner, but no matter how well an owner thought they treated their slaves, the truth is that they had power over someone else's live. As slave you were well aware of that, this might have scarred you for the rest of your life. You are well aware of your position in the social hierarchy. You value hard work and respect anyone able to understand it. You will use your freedom to do things that you were not allowed as slave, but always with caution.
