You know old practices for binding luck and spite into knotted cord, carved tokens, woven rushes, or small wicker charms. You gain the following benefits.
Old Blessing. You can cast bless once without expending a spell slot, but when you cast it in this way, you can target only creatures carrying charms you have made. You regain the ability to cast the spell in this way when you finish a long rest. You can also cast the spell using any spell slots you have.
Choose Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma when you gain this trait. The chosen ability is your spellcasting ability for bless and for your Twisted Hex.
Twisted Hex. You can spend 10 minutes fashioning a small charm and choosing Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma. While another creature willingly or unknowingly carries the charm, it subtracts a d4 from ability checks and attack rolls that use the chosen ability.
Whenever the affected creature fails one of those rolls, it can make a Charisma saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your chosen spellcasting ability modifier. On a success, the charm's magic ends and the charm crumbles or breaks.
You can have only one Twisted Hex charm at a time. Creating another ends the magic of the previous one.
