A year has passed since Jack Thunder and his friends saved the world from utter destruction. Now, there is something new on the horizon. An Earth portal has opened, and through it slips a human girl who thinks she has landed in a video game world.

Jack Thunder does his best to make the human visitor feel at home, but trouble arises when her family notices her missing, starting a search that leads the humans straight into Altairus. Worse, without the Heart of Darkness to lead them, the wendigoes back in the Flipside riot. Nemesis, the wendigo general who opposed Jack Thunder and his friends not so long ago, is replaced with Malefic, a wendigo much viler and more dangerous than Nemesis ever was. Kicked out of the Flipside, Nemesis lands in Altairus, left completely at the mercy of Jack Thunder.

It is up to Jack Thunder and his friends to once again assemble the Fragments of Anima. And perhaps, even, mend the severed bonds between humans and faeries.
