Welcome to Challenge Week!
Every Game of Tomes event, groups of
Tome Knights come together to accomplish seemingly impossible goals. Will the Teams be able to this year? We'll find out!
The Lore!
Some years ago, much of the Eastern Seaboard of North America fell into the Atlantic Ocean, taking with it a chunk of the land needed by our dino Tome Knights and friends. Our purpose with this challenge is to amass our collective
Literomantic Power and raise the Eastern Seaboard! It will require untold amounts of literomantic power and coordination of our special talents, but together, we can do it!
How to Particpate
Participation is optional. To participate, follow these steps:
Decide if you are writing solo or as part of a team.
The minimum goal for solos and teams is 50,000 words—one Toam.
The maximum number of Team members is eight.
Teams get organized—Decide on your Team Name and discuss your goal. Use the optional Challenge Tracker to add up your individual goals if that is helpful.
Solos and Teams sign up by submitting the July 2025 Challenge Week Sign-Up Form. Do this by noon PDT, Wednesday, July 16. (Deadline updated!)
Follow all the usual GOT rules for redeeming your words in GOT reporting Twitch streams.
Report your word counts on the July 2025 Challenge Week Reporting Form after the event ends. This includes individual word counts and the Team total, but only one form per Team.
Watch the Final Results Stream for the Challenge results!
FAQ
You still enter your words for your House with the First Tome Knight bot on Twitch. You must track your progress in the challenge separately.
The weighting rules also apply to the Challenge, if you have reached 100k in the main event. (See the GoT front page for those rules.)
It is your team that pledges a total, even if you are a team of one. The members of the team must cumulatively reach the goal, so if individuals in the team are struggling, the rest of the team may cover them to reach the overall total words pledged.
Have fun and happy wording! You got this!
