I Could Write a New Plot

If there’s a plot that’s almost written
My brain should celebrate that
Not find a new plot progression
That’s always the case, can’t not, do that!

Can’t you keep a straight line?
Just finish the ending
Or to fix the holes now
You know, there’s an edit for you

Plot procrastination and
Double edits coming

I could write a new plot

New plots are shimmering and shiny
They seem so good when I start out
My brain is cramming this new plot, yeah
Just ignore the one I’m sposed to be on

You keep on writing
Plot, characters, and settings
Oh yes I’m writing
Words, to fill this new idea
Next I’ll add a turtle
Making it so special
Ignoring the ed-edits are near

Write on, my soul
I swear I’ll go back one day

First plot, not done
Ignoring it won’t work

Till then, I’ll say
I could write a new plot
