Homework 2026 Week 1

Next month is November where we'll be fighting the Undead Horde. Now is the time to get prepared. There will be four waves of homework to us get ready. Use as much or as little of this as you need. If you've done some of the homework, you will have earned the 'Homework Completed' Badge, which I will include at the bottom of each week's homework.

With that, let's dive into Week 1's homework. It's good to know what you're going to be working on and what you want to accomplish.

Choose Your Projects

Make a list of the projects you want to work on for the month. You can have multiple projects that you spend equal amounts of time on. Another option is to have a main project, with a couple of side projects as backup for when you get stuck or need a break.

Your list doesn't have to be specific, i.e. Write Novel XYZ. It could just be a list of ideas such as writing flash fiction or poetry.

Set Your Goals

Choose your goal for the month. There are several options you can go with here. You choose a word count goal to achieve. It could be to write every day for X amount of hours. Or it could setting how many flash fiction pieces you want to write or poems. Do you have an A/V backlog to complete? That could be your goal.

Next set a stretch goal. If you're setting a word count goal, set a second one that's higher but is still possible for you to reach. You can do this no matter what goals you've set.

Here's a fancy Goal Sheet, if you would like to use it.

Set Your Rewards

Break your goals down into smaller chunks and set yourself a reward for achieving it. Example would be rewarding yourself with a drink from Starbucks for hitting 1,000 words.
