Instead of going to Oliria, El is suddenly thrust out of the Portal into the island nation of Varu, thousands of miles off course and stranded. Luckily, or unluckily, she meets a self-entitled buccaneer and a crew willing to brave the waves. This is the story of Captain Tam Winmore and Elmira "El" Delid as they rush across the vast, dangerous Morimyr Ocean to reach the border of the Akati Empire, whose future relies on El making it home on time.
Originally a part of the Rouge Angel, this is the story that didn't quite make the cut in the ongoing editing process, but is too fun not to share.
