Soul Feaster (Core Mechanic – Healing & Adaptation)
When you reduce a creature to 0 HP, you instinctively draw from its fading essence, healing yourself for an amount equal to your level + your Charisma modifier (minimum 1).

After consuming a soul in this way, you may choose one of the following effects:

Echoed Memory – You steal a fragment of the creature’s mind, gaining advantage on Intelligence and Charisma checks related to one thing they knew (such as a location, a person, or an event) for the next day.

Borrowed Skill – You gain proficiency in one skill, tool, or language that the creature had for 1 day or until this ability is used again.

Ephemeral Strength – You siphon a spark of their life force, gaining temporary hit points equal to half the creature’s level (minimum 1) for 1 hour.

Bonds
Veymira Form Shift (Racial Feature)
Veymira can shift between two natural forms:

Ethereal Veil (Humanoid Form)

True Aspect (Fully Foxlike)

You can switch between these forms as a bonus action, but maintaining your True Aspect requires focus and power.

Ethereal Veil
You appear mostly humanoid, with fox ears and a single tail.

You can pass as an ordinary humanoid with minimal effort.

You retain all your normal abilities but gain no additional bonuses.

This is your natural resting state.

True Aspect
When you tap into your soul power, your body shifts into its full foxlike form, gaining heightened senses and magical presence.

You gain advantage on Perception checks based on hearing and smell.

You gain +10 feet to your movement speed.

You can make an unarmed claw attack (Adds +2 slashing).

This transformation lasts a number of minutes equal to your Proficiency Bonus and can be ended at will.

You can use this feature once per short or long rest.

Veymira grow additional tails as they absorb more memories and souls, representing their increasing power and experience.

At Level 1, all Veymira begin with one tail.

Every 4 levels (Lv 4, 8, 12, 16, 20), they grow one additional tail.

A Veymira with 3+ tails can remain in their True Aspect indefinitely.

A Veymira with 6+ tails becomes resistant to psychic damage and gains advantage on saving throws against mind-affecting spells.

A Veymira with 9 tails is considered a legendary being and can briefly access true immortality, resisting death once per long rest.
