By sending shade into the ground, the occultist cause a pair of shadowy tentacles to shoot out of the ground at a target location and wrap themselves around the legs of the nearest target. The target is immobile for 2 turns, unless they manage a Athletics check against DC 7, in which case they break free of the tentacles. The target can still fight, but not move from their position.
For every 2 shade points spent on this spell, an additional target, or an additional turn can be added. At 6 points spent, three targets can be held for 2 turns, or a single target be held for 4 turns.
