HappyHappySad
I'm never really Happy, and I'm never really Sad. But I'm a pretty bad lover, and I'll probably be a deadbeat dad.
-Dave Malloy, Ghost Quartet
Happy, a Werecoyote, never meant to be a House Leader. Actually, they never meant to be a Literomancer. But Fate has a way of making even the most reluctant of heroes answer the call to action.
Happy's (Unwilling and Somewhat Unwitting) Rise to Leadership
Happy was born and subsequently delivered to their father, who was part of a touring dance troupe, without having known their birth parent. But they never lacked for family, as every other member of the troupe was either an auntie, an uncle, or a cousin. They grew up around the stage, although they prefer special effects to performing. In the aftermath of The Third Word War, fearing for their family's safety, Happy left their family behind to join the Literomancers, but they still wanted to keep their head down. They joined the Open Hearts and Pens of House Ailurus, who were a Minor House at the time, and decided they would do their best while maintaining as much anonymity as possible. And then, in The Fourth Word War, House Ailurus needed Bodyguards and Happy somehow ended up a member of the Ferals. And then, in the Tourney of Tales after Word War 4, Ailurus needed a new House Librarian and Happy just happened to be in the Archives when the job was posted. And then, in The Fifth Word War, Ailurus was elevated to Major House status. And then, in the Tourney of Tales after Word War 5, House Ailurus had a sudden vacancy in House Leadership and Happy somehow managed to anti-power-grab worse than the rest of the House and ended up as the Seneschal and Co-House Leader of Ailurus. Helping lead one of the Major Literomantic Houses was never Happy’s plan, but now that she’s here, she’s going to do the best she can. Often with more enthusiasm than expertise, but don’t hold that against her.

Gender Identity
While maintaining a mostly femme presentation, Happy identifies as non-binary and gender fluid. The trappings of gender are almost as much a mask for them as their actual masks are. What's a gender identity? Can I eat that?
-Asks Happy, like the feral little gremlin they are
Sexuality
"So," Father said, sidling closer to the young girl who sat by the side of the stage. "You're getting to be that age. Do you have any girls you like? Or boys? Or both?"
"Well, yes, but actually no!" Happy replied cheerfully.
Happy identifies as both panromatic and asexual. While she's not really interested in sex all that often, she does enjoy having romantic partners that she can dote on. (And yes, that is partners plural, as in at the same time. But only if everyone else involved is into that.)
Part of this is her Werecoyote nature wanting a big pack family to take care of, and part of it is Happy just falling in love with her friends easily. And, of course, her devistating beauty, which she even had to cover up with a special mask during The Trope Plague outbreak.
Happy describes her preferences for partners as "mostly femme leaning, but the right guy could change my mind. Especially if they also have a little bit of the gender fuckery".
Archon The Bard with Many Names was that "right guy". She accepted when he invited her to join his polycule, and Happy is currently in a relationship with both Bard and Novamoonlight.
