Lapin Honey

Lapin Honey is produced by the honeybees of El-Ahrairah's Garden within The Warren.   The garden is presided over by Princess Rowean   The main flowers of the garden are Agastache foeniculum or the lavender giant hyssop, which is planted between the fruits and vegetables. This provides the garden with pollinators as well as a source of honey. There is also a separate chamber of edible flowers designed to nurture the bees.   The honey produced by these bees has a sweet yet savory taste. It is rumoured to have magical properties though no magical situations have so far been reported. It has become a staple on every table with in the Lapin Protectorate.

Manufacturing process

The production of this honey is as follows   1. Pollination of Hyssop Flowers and collection of nectar by the honeybees.   2. Digestion of nectar and production of honey   3. Sealed with Beeswax in hives and left to harden.   4. Collection of honey by beekeepers.   5. Filtration of honey to remove any larger piece of beeswax.   6. Fill jars with honey.

History

Lapin Honey was first produced by Queen DaniAdventures when she ran House Apis. It was not called Lapin Honey to begin with. It is unknown what the honey was originally called.   When House Apis was closed in 2022 many of the bees flocked to The Warren as they were supporting House Lapin at the time.   It is the descendants of these bees that now produce the Lapin Honey by feeding on the hyssop plants within El-Ahrairah's Garden.
