Kraken's Call
“Kraken's Call" is House Mollusca's anthem, a hymn of defiance, of unity, of coming together. The first time it's sung every year is in the shadow of the Night Monarch's return.
Purpose
This hymn is a call to vigilance and courage. It is a rallying cry against The Undead Horde during wartime. Outside of war, it is an act of remembrance, a way to honor those lost to the sea or in battle. It is a reminder that even in calm waters, The Cosmic Kraken still calls.
Document Structure
Publication Status
No one outside House Mollusca is allowed to sing this hymn. On rare occasions, a plaque of the lyrics is given to a family if a member of that family has acted heroically in regards to Molluscans, i.e. saving inklings, or dying protecting the Anassa. If the member dies, a Molluscan sings the song at their funeral.
Historical Details
Background
The idea for this song came about as a way to inspire and honor Molluscans.
History
It is believed that one of the Cosmic Kraken's before Coffee Quills wrote this song with the help of advisors to write and record a song to inspire fellow Molluscans, in and out of wartime. They wanted a way to bring every Molluscan together.
It is sung every year, at the beginning of November, when Molluscans sense the stirring of the Night Monarch. It rises from every reef and trench. It can be heard echoing in the deep throughout the Word War as Molluscans come together in their fight against the Undead.
While it is most often sung in November, it can also be heard at state funerals, and those of Molluscan battle heroes. It's also performed once in April and once in July during the Tourney of Tales. It's done, not as a summons to battle, but in remembrance and as a reminder: 'All must be ready.'

Public Reaction
It has been well-loved by Molluscans. While there are times only one voice is heard singing, many times others join in, adding harmony.
Legacy
It is taught to every inkling, when they are old enough to understand its meaning. One can hear their sweet, clear voices singing together, with and without older Molluscans, even though they are too young to fight.
