Meteor Swarm
Meteor Swarm is a spell that was utilized by RPGDinosaurBob in the Third Word War, and again to destroy the Sauropodan Castle at Mt. Mitchell during The Fourth Word War at the Fall of House Sauropoda.
The spell was used to destroy the Zombies overwhelming Aldergrove during the Fall of House Lapin at The Battle of Aldergrove in the Third Word War, and the destruction it left behind became known as the Aldergrove Craters, which fall on the border of the Lapin and Meles Protectorates.
About half the 13,000-strong population of Aldergrove was successfully evacuated before the Meteor Swarm spell was activated, but the other half of the population was killed in the disaster, either by falling to The Undead Horde or to the meteors themselves.
Most of the population of Mt. Mitchell and its city, Jurassica, were successfully evacuated before the Meteor Swarm of 4WW. King Bob said at the time that he had invoked the spell because he knew Sauropoda was about to be overwhelmed, and he did not want "the Undead parading through the sacred halls of his castle." This is generally taken as a euphanism for protecting Sauropoda's magical and historical secrets. Mt. Mitchell was renamed to Mesa Mitchell to reflect the significant change in geography.
Effect
During the course of the spell, one to four 50-foot spheres of fire, Meteoric Iron, and siderophile elements — such as platinum, iridium, palladium, and gold — plummet to the surface of the planet and destroy everything in their path. These meteors leave large craters and mass devastation in their wake. Little, if anything, survives the impacts.
Side/Secondary Effects
In both cases, a minor "nuclear winter" effect followed, due to the dispersion of dust and debris in the atmosphere. The earth's temperature cooled by 1-2 degrees Celsius for several months. While this had some short-term effects on the growing cycle of crops in the following years, the temperature normalized again after a few months had passed.
Some degree of Magic Drain also seems to accompany the use of this spell. The effort of invoking Meteor Swarm hampered King Bob's ability to act in the remainder of 4WW.
Manifestation
One to four meteors plummet to earth out of the sky upon being summoned, and are targeted to impact at a specific point on the earth's surface. It is unclear if these are conjured from the ether, or if they are Near Earth Objects which are redirected by the spell's caster.
Otherwise, these meteors seem to behave like any other meteor. They heat up with atmospheric friction, occasionally breaking into pieces, although the scatter tends to be within a tight radius.
It is also worth noting that King Bob has been in close proximity on both occasions he is known to have used this power. It is unknown whether or not this is required. He may need to be within visual sight of the location he means to target at the moment of activation.
Source
Meteor Swarm appears to be an ancient Sauropodan secret, which either King Bob was privy too (no one knows how old he really is) or he rediscovered when Literomancy made its return. To anyone's knowledge, he has not shared the secret of its invocation with anyone.
My guess — and it's a guess, mind you, based on reading between the lines of a couple of things Bob has hinted at — is that it's a power that was strictly shared with the Sauropodan House Leaders. But don't quote me on that.

Information not widely known in the GoTverse
Did the Sauropodans sow the seeds of their own destruction? The existence of this spell as a signature Sauropodan power suggests that perhaps they were the ones who called down the meteor known to Sauropodans as The Dinosaur Killer, which the rest of the world has named Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event. There is some evidence among the recovered Sauropodan Library that may support this. Those among the Tome Knights who know about this suspect, by the timing, it may have had something to do with the long conflict between House Sauropoda and House Avis. However, this section of the library is not completely translated yet, and therefore, no one is quite ready to make this assertion, in case further research alters this interpretation.
