Thunder's Teeny Tiny Wondrous Waterfowl
Wherever Thunder Nightwaves runs around within the Game of Tomes universe, the occasional teeny tiny plastic duck can be found if you search hard enough to find one. (You may actually find at least twenty. The Brimfield Book of Literomantic Records has not as of yet been able to confirm a record for most teeny tiny plastic ducks found.) The ducks appear in a variety of colors, though keen onlookers have observed that Thunder's favorite colors of ducks tend to be teal, lime green, and the ever-classic yellow. Each of Thunder's Teeny Tiny Wondrous Waterfowl is no larger than a cubic centimeter, at least under normal, dry conditions. Some of these ducks have been observed to expand when exposed to moisture, which at times can come as quite the shock.
Rumor has it that Thunder has become rather intrigued with the art of resin crafting, but xe's added a literomantic twist. Whether or not taking on this craft was a natural progression from learning a variety of fiber arts crafts is up for debate.

Caution: Attempting to eat or otherwise ingest Thunder's Teeny Tiny Wondrous Waterfowl is highly frowned upon because of their propensity to expand when exposed to moisture.
Properties
Origin & Source
As a result of some resin experiments, Thunder has discovered that through a unique combination of both Aquamancy and Geomancy, xyr literomantic energy can be infused into the resin while it is setting to be used as a delayed onset catalyst for altering the polymerization of the resin. When the resin that forms the ducks is exposed to water or other liquids, it expands and becomes sticky. The literomancy is introduced during the settling phase and is cast so that the change in state is delayed and keyed to this specific circumstance.
Without any sort of literomantic intervention, it takes an exceedingly long time for the ducks to return to their normal, dry states of being. While in their expanded form, the ducks also have a tendency to stick to anything they touch, including other ducks.

History & Usage
Everyday use
Though the primary use of Thunder's Teeny Tiny Wondrous Waterfowl appears to be for jokes and for generally causing minor inconveniences, there are some practical uses that have been theorized.
- For those needing to make a quick escape, the ducks could be used as a ground deterrent for any prospective chasers.
- In dry form, stepping on them would be incredibly painful, like stepping on a miniature building block.
- In expanded form, stepping on them would be a slipping hazard, as they stick to the bottoms of feet and shoes, making it difficult to walk.
- If the pursuer is unfamiliar with Thunder's Teeny Tiny Wondrous Waterfowl, the shock of their change in state upon being introduced to moisture could give the escapee a few extra precious seconds to flee.
- Practicing literomancers could use Thunder's Teeny Tiny Wondrous Waterfowl as a monitoring device as they attempt to adjust the relative humidity of a room or attempt to dry a specific object.
Cultural Significance and Usage
There are ongoing considerations occurring between the Brocktrees of House Meles for how Thunder's Teeny Tiny Wondrous Waterfowl could be used to defend The Willows from potential threats. The specifics of these considerations are confidential.
There have also been several reports of Thunder's Teeny Tiny Wondrous Waterfowl being found in the beds within The Treehouse at Penwall. Nobody is sure how they got there, and their intended purpose in those locations cannot be confirmed or denied.

Thunder probably said, 'We already have so many pandas running around everywhere. And we all know they are boinking. Is NOBODY here worried they might multiply? Do we WANT a lil Bardnovahappy unlocking locks and snooping around everywhere? I am just doing my civil duty here.'
