Brielle Merrick
Brielle Janine Merrick (a.k.a. Brie)
Brielle Merrick is a Newcomer and a Literomancer who came to the Tomeverse during the Tourney of Tales in April of 2026, via a Literomantic enchantment of return on a lost tome from the Chiropteran Library. Further research (reading journals that made the transition with her), has indicated that one of her ancestors was a member of House Chiroptera who fled the Tomeverse to get away from The Wing Wars that occurred within the House during the Inquisition.
Brielle found herself in the middle of a strange library, and with the unfamiliar sensation of having bat wings, as the return to this universe had triggered her latent Werebat genetics. She was quick to adapt once the Chiropterans (and guests) who had come to investigate the strange crash in the library were able to calm her down. Within hours of arriving, she performed a deft bit of literomancy with a child's toy that led to the resolution of the Craft Wars, allowing Queen TaraFaeBelle to fully express her feelings of betrayel to Archon The Bard with Many Names.
Brielle's literomantic capabilities truly began to shine in the Tourney of Tales July 2026. She was effected by The Trope Plague, taking on the persona of a Southern Belle, complete with accent and dressing appropriately for a southern debutante. She joined the "Donut Stop Us" team during Challenge Week July 2026.
Friends sometimes simply call her "Brie."
