Current Whisperer
The Current Whisperer is the official Ambassador of House Mollusca, charged with diplomatic dealings with The Great Houses. With Mollusca's history traditionally being one of isolationism, this is a new title within the House. Olivette Rivers has been doing a great job in this position.
Qualifications
The person must have a knowledge of international relations and history. It is highly advised for the candidate to be fluent in multiple languages.
Personal qualities should include the capacity to stay poised, to think on one's feet and maintain self-control. They need to be adaptive, especially when it comes to value systems, political beliefs and economic circumstances of the other Houses. One needs to absorb complex information from a lot of sources and draw rational conclusions. They must be able to discern what is appropriate, practical and sensible in a given situation. They need to stay unbiased to avoid deceit, favoritism, and discrimination as well as have the potential to establish positive relationships and gain the confidence of others.
Appointment
Anassa JaySeaBoom appointed Olivette Rivers to this position out of a need to have an ambassador.
It was a quiet and beautiful ceremony at The Zafforza Trench. I'm honored to have been one of the few invited to attend.
Duties
The person given this role must represent their house with honor while building and maintaining relationships. They negotiate agreements and protect the interests of their House. They manage any embassy staff that is staying at the embassy. While they report to Anassa JaySeaBoom on a regular basis, they also sit on the Coral Council, giving her advice. They are in charge of the Department of Tentacle Outreach.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
The person can be removed from this position if they are culturally insensitive to another House or they have acted in any way dishonorably.
