Lady Wynter

She wears a camouflaged leather jacket over her human torso, though this is more for the modesty of others than for herself. Lady Wynter keeps a small satchel at her waist, with survival supplies and a few special keepsakes she guards zealously.

Abyssal Serenade   Tidecaller's Grimoire

Lady Wynter doesn't talk much about her past. While she hasn't talked in-depth about it, she has revealed that her family was lost to the Undead.   She spent nearly a decade exploring the ocean depths and has discovered much about the Arctic. These years allowed her to hone her swimming skills as well as become attuned to the ebb and flow of the tides. Lady Wynter found she had an affinity for Aquamancy and returned to her people to study under the masters.   One of the masters had Lady Wynter study the Vael Scimitar as well, claiming mastery over the physical would help her with her control over Literomancy. After █████ years she was considered an adept and ready to assist in defense of her people. After ███████████ years, she became a master of Literomancy and the Vael Scimitar. She became an important member in thwarting underwater threats and maintaining the delicate balance of her aquatic home.   Lady Wynter was there when the Undead attacked in November 2022. Though not aligned with any of the Houses, the Undead plowed through the Aquatic Centaur ranks on their way to Zafforza Trench during The Third Word War. Despite her best efforts, she is the only survivor of the attack (at least as far as she knows).   Lady Wynter aimlessly wandered the ocean for a year, shocked, grieving, and unsure if she wanted to reach out to the other survivors of the Word War she'd heard about. In mid-November 2023 she found the Glitterbloom and shortly after that joined House Mollusca in their fight against the Undead during The Fourth Word War. Lady Wynter has remained in her new home, trying to make up for her failure by protecting her new family.   In April and July of 2024, Lady Wynter followed Anassa JaySeaBoom to The Cavern to participate in the Tourney of Tales hosted by House Chiroptera. She enjoyed hersefl as she honed her battle skills and bonded with her new house, despite her guardedness because of her current loss.   As November 2024 rolled around, Lady Wynter geared herself for battle and fought the Undead with House Mollusca during Word War Five. While she proved herself well, it wasn't enough and she followed her Anassa to The Warren and helped House Lapin win the Iron Tome.   Because House Lapin won the Tome, they hosted the Tourney of Tales April 2025 and Tourney of Tales July 2025. Lady Wynter particpated in both events. Though in July, she ran for Night Monarch because she heard the call of the Tome. While she did not become Night Monarch, she did become a Power Writer.   It was hard on Lady Wynter, when it became known that Princess ShyRedFox and Foxx were the Night Monarchs, leading the Undead in November of 2025 for the Sixth Word War. Due to this she disappeared into Zafforza Information Center looking for information about the Night Monarch and how to prevent it from happening in the future. While she didn't find much, she did find Warding of the Uncrowned Depth.   Lady Wynter wasn't able to translate it right away as Thunder came to tell her that ShyRedFox left a note leaving Lady Wynter as acting Oyabun. It was as shock but Lady Wynter stepped in and led the Self Care Mafia. She was at the SCM Headquarters when Black Carl Sasuga and Akui - The Okamiden attacked and burned it down in thier search for ShyRedFox and Foxx. She made sure that they couldn't get any information and protected her fellow SCM members, including Dreoilin Eiliagh, at great expense and bodily harm to herself. After healing up, she set up a temporary headquarters in Zafforza City.   Lady Wynter fought alongisde House Mollusca, SCM members, and the survivors of the fallen Houses, helping Mollusca defeat the Undead and claim the Iron Tome. She helped Anassa JayseaBoom set up the security for the Tome.   In April of 2026, Lady Wynter helped in the hosting of the Tourney of Tales. Having translated the Warding Spell, she sought to use it on ShyRedFox, Foxx and Archon The Bard with Many Names to protect them from starting Undead during the next Word War. They all said no for various reasons, leaving Lady Wynter wondering why they wouldn't let her protect them. Eventually, she was able to cast it on JaySeaBoom, protecting her from becoming the Night Monarch for a year. Though this left Lady Wynter open to call of the Iron Tome.   Hearing the call again, Lady Wynter began her campaign to become Night Monarch with zeal. Looking to not only protect her family, but also honor her fallen family. She promised to find the Elegy Archives. All the while practicing her skills during the Tourney   House Mollusca hosted the Tourney of Tales once again in July 2026, where Lady Wynter escorted visitors on the Molluscan Deep-Sea Alchemy Ingredient Gathering word crawl to show off Zafforza City. While she still sought to become Night Monarch to keep her promise, she did not get the role. Lady Wynter is unsure if this is a good thing or not. And something is telling her that the other boot is about to come crashing down on her.

Despite her strength, Lady Wynter couldn't prevent the loss of her family. This failure haunts her, driving her to seek justice against the Undead and preventing her from forming deep emotional connections with others.

The loss of her family weighs heavily on Lady Wynter's mind, manifesting in nightmares. Guilt is her constant companion. Her PTSD causes her to further withdraw from others and dive deep into House Mollusca's history. Her emotional scars fuel her determination to eradicate the Undead menace.

Lady Wynter possesses a keen intellect. She is well-versed in the ancient lore of her people and skilled in deciphering magical tomes. Her strategic mind makes her an invaluable asset in battles against the undead.

Lady Wynter values justice and protection. Her moral compass is guided by a sense of duty to safeguard the innocent, especially in the face of supernatural threats. She believes in the importance of alliances and unity to overcome adversity.

Lady Wynter's primary motivation is to avenge her family and protect others from the Undead threat. Joining House Mollusca provides her with the means to exact justice and fulfill her duties as a Battlemage. She is eager to showcase and prove the faith her people had in her. She also wants to show off her tactical prowess and protect her new family.
