November is when the Game of Tomes Word Wars occur. They begin on the first of the month, and end on the last day of the month, in each participant's time zone. In this Word War, the "living" writers will vie against the
Kitsune-gumi leading
The Undead Horde.
At every results stream, the House with the lowest word count is overrun by the Horde. One third of the House's writers will join the undead horde and are determined by the "Wheel of Doom". The wheel randomly selects the writers from a list of the House's participating members. (Writing for either side, living or undead, is fun!)
During the final results stream, we find out if the living or the undead are victorious. Each possibility has
Tomeverse lore consequences!

Here you can see the current alliances made by the Minor Houses. (In other words, the smaller Minor Houses team up with a Major House. It's beneficial for both the Minor and Major Houses.)
Will the Kitsune-gumi be able to defeat the living?
They need to in order to open the Tome, so they can save the enslaved yokai Shydeadfox discovered and bring back DeathWriter's destroyed home! If the living win what will happen to the Kitsune-gumi's lofty goals? If the Undead win, will the living exist anymore?

50K Challenge: LitMon Special!
Runs Nov 1 (12:01 AM AKDT / 8:01 AM UTC) through the Nov 6 results stream cutoff (11:59 PM UTC)**!
The challenge is to write a minimum of 50,000 words in 5 days (plus a little bit)!
#5day50K Teams often form to help reach that goal! (Or extended goals!)
The Stakes
For this November only, you'll have a chance to earn a House LitMon from a House different from your own! (No immunities this event. We're focusing on the fun of LitMon!)
