Okiboji Powerplant Site

Okiboji is the site where the experimental Power Plant is located within the Ailurus Protectorate. As Spirit Lake was the largest urban area in the Lakes District during the time before the Word Wars, Novamoonlight uses this name to reference the site.
  The northern-most point of the Okiboji Power Plant Complex forms part of the border between Meles and Ailurus, as the location of the Power Plant is less than ten miles from the border, making it a viable power source for both Protectorates once fully grown. There is some speculation there might be enough reach to power part of Lapin as well, but this is as yet untested.
 

The Power Plant Project

  In the immediate aftermath of the Meles Ailurus Treaty of 2024 and the The Fourth Word War as a whole, Nova Firan took a trip back home before meeting the rest of the migration team at the new Penwall site to complete the process and help get people settled. The trip took her through the area she had once regularly been driven through, with frequent appearance of the wind turbines, which had always made her heart sing to see them.
  This observation didn't happen in a vacuum, as Nova had been in a position to overhear the ongoing conversations as to how best to transition the realm to a more ecologically friendly model going forward. Initially, she only made a note to check in with Mykola Lapin-Void regarding checking in with those within House Meles who were more knowledgeable as to the condition of the turbines that had provided a substantial percentage of the power for the region Ailurus had taken over.
