Liath (Leah)

Liath is a werecat and loyal member of the Brocktree guard. You'll often find her taking walks with her Badger Scout—Denny—or in the feasthall, helping to plan the next celebration.    

History

Mystery Past

She's pretty sure she's not from the Tomeverse, but her memory before this 'verse is too hazy. Someday she will rediscover those memories, because she's determined. When she sets her mind to something, mountains move.  

Joining House Meles

In July 2025, she arrived at The Den and decided to stay. Queen Badger Purpleheart and Princess ShyRedFox saw her heart to serve and build community. So they quickly recruited her into the Brocktrees. She struggled with this when Princess Shy became one of the Night Monarchs that year, but her fellow Brocktrees reassured her.  

Badger Scout Companion

Her badger scout is Denny. They met one day when Liath went for a walk around the Windy Willows grounds. Denny encountered her, after his Badger Scout training, and sidled up to keep her company. He found her kind, calm, and welcoming demeanor to be just what he was looking for and decided to adopte her. When he became her dyr kin, he told her his name.

Forms

Liath is pretty sure she has 3 forms: cat (with her distinctive lavender-silver coat), catfolk (lavender-silver coat, and purple hair), and a likely human form. She's been able to change forms, but not to human—so far. Most werebeasts have a human form, so she believes she has one.  

Brocktree Dossier

Liath carries her trusty staff and a set of sneaky daggers. Her easy going demeanor hides the quick reflexes she utilises for battle. Never underestimate her cat dexterity nor her speed!  

Battle Experience

The Sixth Word War

Liath assisted in the Raising of the Eastern Seaboard, despite her recent appearance on the Literomantic scene, and thus was granted the title Warden of the Risen Shore.   Sylvi and Liath were instrumental in keeping Princess ShyRedFox's heart safe after Liath's Badger Scout, Denny, led them to it in Shy's quarters. Later, when Queen Sable Aradia came to inquire about what was going on with Queen Badger Purpleheart, she assisted the Bunny Queen and Blade in reinforcing the Meles House Wards.   She fell to The Undead Horde defending House Ailurus against Black Carl Sasuga's forces. The Kitsune-gumi were able to keep her from being controlled by Carl. She was raised to life again after 6WW.
