Invalid_Input

Invalid Input is a human in her mid 20s with mousey brown shoulder length hair and bright violet eyes, a carry over from her characters although she does not have their powers. She is a heavier-set woman standing at 5’5 with a metal prosthetic right arm. Invalid_Input also deals with chronic pain and chronic illnesses like endometriosis and IBS that sometimes sap her writing stamina. She can often be found just around a random corner within The Cavern

If you were to ask Invalid about any powers or special abilities, she’d say she had none. However, fellow Chiropterans have witnessed her phase in and out of sight in moments where she was especially distracted or engrossed in a book. As far as Invalid is aware she does not travel anywhere in these moments and has no memory of them occurring.

Invalid can be found wearing an ankle length dress and trench coat decked out in gorgeous autumn colors, which matches her right hand. She also will always have a book in hand whether it be a fantasy novel or the kind of literature you’d find in an English classroom.

Invalid_Input’s origins prior to The Fourth Word War are completely unknown, even to her. Her earliest memory is waking up in the Lapin Protectorate soon after the start of the war. It was at this time that she learned to channel her Literomancy from her fellow Tome Knights and followed the living wherever they evacuated until they all reached the Chiropteran Caverns. Finding comfort in the dark caves and chaotic encouragement, Invalid_Input decided to stay and pledge her allegiance to House Chiroptera forevermore.     She spent much of the next few years making a space for herself hidden between two bookshelves in the House Library where she could rest and read to her heart’s content. Invalid contributed during the Tourneys that followed and The Fifth Word War as much as she could. However, she found herself increasingly unable to focus her energy into Literomancy during this time.   In the lead-up to the Tourney of Tales July 2025, Invalid was delighted to find herself more present in her body than she had been since the Fourth Word War and resolved to be more involved with her House. In addition to channeling her literomancy more intentionally than ever before, she also began training as a bodyguardBodyguard in the hopes of one day protecting Queen TaraFaeBelle. She was also invited to begin working with Clockwocket on some experimental coffee creamers, onto which she gladly shifted her focus. Helping run the Chiropteran Coffee Creamer Testing, seeing so many Tome Knights running around the caverns, is solidified as one of her favorite memories as a Chiropteran.     One of Invalid’s greatest fears since she could remember was turning undead. However, once she fell and her worst-case scenario was realized, she found there was nothing to be scared of anymore. Being part of the Kitsune-gumi ironically bolstered Invalid’s confidence and allowed her to travel the world, no longer fearing the fight.

As part of her duties as a Knightwing, Invalid is also the leader of The Classified Squad, a secret team dedicated to gathering intelligence in service of House Chiroptera. Their responsibilities include investigating ways to keep House Chiroptera secure and conducting research on literomancy and other niche topics that will benefit the other bats. When the Classified Squad is not hidden deep in the Cavern, they can be found strategizing and trading their research findings in massive temporary blanket forts that serve as impromptu bases.
