As the official newspaper of the GoTverse, we strive to keep our issues short and to the point to give you the vital Literomancy news you need ASAP.

Public Agenda

LitWatch News focuses on digital format for reading on the go, but we do offer print versions of our issues within a few hours of the articles posted online. While many newspapers are struggling to survive, our real-time reporting is relied on the world over.
We have a friendly rivalry with the WLA News station. This benefits LitWatch News readers and WLA News viewers because whoever gets the story out first doesn't just get bragging rights, they get the most reader/viewership for that story. Both news agencies are known for their impartial reporting.
The newspaper is free to the public and funded by an anonymous donor who goes by the name "Tails". The staff thinks this may be a pun on "tales".

History

The newspaper was founded by Mykola Lapin-Void who printed the first edition December 14, 2022 on The Missing House called "The Great Forgetting!" .
ShyRedFox came on staff in June 2023. Her first article was "Clawdia's Security! Badger Scout for hire!" . She took over the newspaper after Myko was believed to have passed away on February 14, 2025.
In July 2024, Clawdia joined the newspaper after discovering donuts in the staffroom. The LitWatch News was happy to pay the Badger Scout in cream-filled pastries for her ability to badger out the scoop on stories. In April 2025, she became the lead reporter and carried the newspaper on her own after Princess ShyRedFox became one of the two Night Monarchs. She continues to bring the latest news to the GoTverse.
