Time Soup
Time is a weird soup.
I always do six impossible things before breakfast.It is no secret that in The Void, time and space are "somewhat negotiable." Sometimes, they are also interchangable in ways that may not be expected. Time soup is a liquid mixture of organic matter and raw spacetime. Like soup, its contents vary broadly. It can be created from any organic matter that grows or develops in the Void, whether plant, fungus, animal, or something that cannot determined.
Yeaaaahhhh, but... some things taste better than others.
Oh, you want to know what's in it? Well...

Is that a tentacle I see?It is, of course, the effects of time soup that make it highly sought after by those who know of it — and also feared.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Appearance
Time soup looks like any other similar soup at first glance. Closer inspection, however, reveals that things are not normal. In addition to its often... exotic... ingredients, upon inspecting a spoonful, one may notice that the broth shimmers with a faint iridescence, like an oil slick or a dark opal.Flavour
Regardless of its ingredients, time soup usually has a distinct green and umame flavour (likely in part due to the mushrooms and fresh ingredients,) with a faint lingering aftertaste of ozone.And it makes my tongue tingle!
Effects
Time soup can have dramatically varied effects depending upon ingredients and dosage. The commonality is that it manipulates one's perception of time.It lets you see the past, present, and future. The problem is, it's all at once.The soup may give one visions of events in time that one has no other way of knowing. These visions may or may not be helpful or even connected to the person who eats the soup. But apparently, they can be fun. More practically, when one eats time soup, one can manipulate time in their favour so that they are capable of accomplishing things in a much shorter period of time than such a task should actually take. Examples include driving across the continent in a couple of days, or making a full-length animated film or writing a novel in a month.
Ohhhh, but the crash afterwards...However, time soup also has undesirable side effects. After a period of "enhanced activity," one can experience significant exhaustion or burnout. It also interferes with one's perception of time by nature. People who eat it find it difficult to keep track of time, meaning that they are often late for appointments, forget what day it is, and lose chunks of time in which they have no idea what they were doing but somehow five hours have passed. It is unknown whether or not these effects ever wear off, but some compensation can usually be made by planning to be ridiculously early for everything, and keeping phone alarms and appointment books.

Raw materials & Components
Any Voidtouched organic matter may be boiled in a pot to create time soup. However, strangely enough, it seems to require "real" water — that is, water that comes from reality as we know it. Perhaps this is because the nature of the Void is effectively timeless, and it requires a physical material that is subject to time to take hold and manifest its effects.
The Voiders note that there is a garden in the Void that is usually used to harvest the main ingredients and spices. It also typically contains Void Polypore (Prince Galakrond's mushrooms.)
SEKRITS!
It is a fact known only to the Voiders (and not all of them, either) that time soup must contain thyme that is grown in the Void. This could be thought of as the "active ingredient" that makes it function. Perhaps this is simply because the Void has a warped sense of humour.
