Chiroptera Coffee Creamers

Navigation

Chiropteran Coffee Creamers are Literomantic boosts that provide a plethora of different benefits depending on the creamer used.  All creamers are available in flavored and non-flavored forms to accommodate those with differing sensory issues.   The first groups of creamers were invented with the intent of increasing interhouse understanding by sharing an experience associated with each house for a short period of time.  There are seven creamers in this collection.

The next set of three creamers are not available to the general populace These creamers require more Literomantic Power to produce. Their availability is subject to contract with the Literomantic Houses because their contents present potential strategic assets. Each use only lasts ten minutes.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The creamers are non-dairy, and come in both flavored versions and plain versions for those with sensory issues or allergies.   Although some people chug them like potions, they are slightly less effective that way.  They work best when added to a hot beverage, preferably with at least a tiny bit of caffeine. Hot Cocoa works perfectly fine in this regard, as does hot tea, and, of course, Coffee.   The containers they are sold in are a work of engineering in and of themselves. They resemble a miniature disposable coffee cup with a lid on it, but are made of an advanced ceramic that does not chemically interact with the creamers but is very hard to break. The "lid" is actually part of the body of the container. There are buttons on each side of the lid. Both buttons must be pressed at the same time to open the "mouth piece" in the lid, reducing the chances of accidental spillage. The containers for each creamer have a unique coloration, so that they are quickly and easily identifiable even if the printed label is damaged.

The creamer to be enhanced is poured into a thin layer on a cookie sheet like pan. Edible literomantically enhanced ink specific to that creamer is used to write a poem in the creamer that specifies the effects of that creamer and to draw the energy to create that effect from a previously charged literomantic battery. A literomancer reads the poem aloud, after writing it, stirring each line in as it is read. The creamer in the pan is the poured into a larger container of creamer, and the poem read again, draining the literomantic battery. The creamer is then seperated into individual serving sizes and packaged.

History

After inspiration struck during the Tourney of Tales in July of 2025, Queen TaraFaeBelle, Sir Clockwocket, and Invalid Input worked extensively to develop the creamers.
In October of 2025 House Chiroptera put out a call for volunteers to test experimental versions of the creamers. The Testing (Chiropteran Coffee Creamer Testing Word Crawl ) was held on November third, and tested early versions of all the commercially available creamers as well as three creamer ideas that needed more work, and have yet to have successful versions developed. These included a speech to text creamer, an instant hygiene creamer and a translation creamer.   The testing was well attended with many Power Writers and notables showing up to assist.   There are rumors that some of the testers stole some of the experimental creamers, but nothing has been confirmed.

Significance

The creamers were used extensively in the Sixth Word War. The details remain classified.
