Hello all, I'm Queen Tara, Chiroptera's House Librarian.
Chiroptera is currently a Major House, which means we can stand on our own or a Minor House may support us during Game of Tomes events. These events include Tourney of Tales in April and July, and the Word Wars (aka Game of Tomes) in November.

Below is a quick rundown of our Protectorate and some of the Nightwriters you may see around our capital. There are links for continued reading, should you wish to dive deeper.

Our House
House Chiroptera is all about silly chaos and gentle encouragement. We love to play with words and encourage others. From Queen Tara's buffs to the Cavern's changing walls, we welcome all who come into to our house with a bit of fun and hope you leave (or stay) feeling encouraged. Serious stories have their place, but between the lines are little bats bringing little bits of fun and reminders of how amazing you are to keep on going and pull through. GoT is about 'not writing lonely', and this is our part of that. Not to say that we don't have deeper stories - you'll find those who find joy in dark places and mysteries hidden in the Cavern walls. If you would like to explore your history, or make a discovery, the Sekret Library may have what you need. All requests are to be sent through Riona, the library ghost. If you'd like to explore the unknowns of the Cavern, join the Adventurers' guild. They will give a safety instruction on how to most safely peruse the Cavern and the supplies you'll need for your very own adventure.

Our House motto is 'Type by Night' as bats are known as creatures of the night. Many of us are like to write later in the evening or night, but remember, it is always night somewhere. And having wings means the latest of us can fly away from most of the SCM.
The Region
The territory of the Chiroptera Protectorate includes Australia & New Zealand. Under the previous monarch, Queen Siobhan, the Cavern was located in Canada. It moves into another cave system whenever a new monarch takes rule (originally beginning in Valentia, Ireland centuries ago).The Capitol
The Cavern is where everything happens. It's entrance currently resides at the Jenolan Caves, near Sydney Australia.Our Leadership
